Membership FAQs

If you have questions about becoming a member of Impact100 Owensboro, we probably already have an answer for you. In the unlikely case we do not, please contact us.

To join, or for more information about joining, visit the Membership page.

Yes. Installment payment options are available, but payment in full must be received by August 31 in order to participate in the grant review process and vote on grants awarded in October. All installment payments are nonrefundable donations.  Payments may be made by check or credit card.

No, you do not have to pay all at once; however, we have promised the nonprofits we would pay out the amount you pledged, so please have your payments completed by August 31.

It’s never too late to join! Timing of becoming a member just determines which grant cycle your dollars go toward. If you join “mid-cycle” you are still welcome to participate in events, get to know members and help with the grant cycle, but your actual donation dollars and your vote will not take effect until the next grant cycle. Basically you get bonus membership time, so sign up now!

All that is required is that you be a woman and donate $1,000 or $500 to be a member. We encourage you to make an informed decision when you vote for the grant recipients, either in person at the October Annual Meeting or by absentee ballot. That’s all that is required.

However, we hope you will also choose to participate in more ways. We know that your participation level may change from year to year as your life’s commitments change.

You can serve on a grant committee which evaluates grants in the summer and selects finalists for presentation to the entire membership at our Annual Meeting.

Most importantly we need our members to spread the word. Talk to your friends and neighbors about Impact100. Invite them to one or more membership events.

Each paid-in-full membership donation provides voting membership for the current grant cycle. The membership year runs from November 1 to October 31.

Yes. Impact100 is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Contributions are tax-deductible for the year in which they were made.

We leverage technology as much as possible to communicate with our members.

• Most communications are via email.
• We regularly share updates, reminders and posts about our nonprofits on our Facebook Page.
• We keep this website updated with information that can be shared with the public.
• We also produce a newsletter to keep our members advised of the current events relating to the organization.

Although additional gifts are always welcome, each Member is limited to one vote per person per year. You may however, prepay your membership for subsequent years and/or sponsor others to join. Impact100 encourages our members to join as 110% members ($1,100) providing $100 to go toward operating costs.

Yes, you can double your impact. We gratefully accept employer matching gifts. Donations matching your membership contribution play an important role, as they are applied toward program and operating costs. Please submit a matching request for your donation to your or your spouse’s employer. Some employers will also provide matching donations for retirees.

We welcome “Friends of Impact100” and are thrilled when an individual or a foundation wants to help us through monetary donations or in-kind service donations. Although they do not provide voting rights, these donations help cover program and operating expenses that are essential to accomplishing our mission.

Men cannot join as voting members but we welcome their financial or in-kind donations. A man can make a donation on behalf of women in his life so that she can become a member.

Donations can be made in memory of a loved one or in honor of a living person.
