Community needs during COVID-19

Hello to our greater Owensboro family.

As we enter these uncertain days filled with worry and anxiety about our personal families as well as the community family, I am proud of what I am witnessing: women sharing the last hamburger packages at the grocery store so everyone gets one, women concerned about the homeless, children, the aged, the vulnerable. This is what makes me proud to be an IMPACT100 member. Women who are committed to their families, their community and their neighbors.

In the next days, IMPACT 100 is going to share some of the community needs we have discovered. Some of you will be able to help financially or with goods, some with talent, some with prayer. For those who are severely impacted by this virus, there are other ways to help; letters to nursing homes, calls to people who live alone, checking on your neighbor’s well-being. Please follow our Facebook Page (IMPACT 100 Owensboro Facebook) to see what the nonprofits in our community need in the next few trying weeks.

IMPACT 100 works together with nonprofits to fund their ideas and transform our community. My hope is that when we come to the end of this journey, we can look back proudly on what we have done to help each other out. I know there will be many stories, both large and small that made a huge IMPACT on our Owensboro family.

Wishing you all the best in the next few weeks.
